History/Background Information

In 1990, to meet the needs of young Montrealers, the Recreation and Community Development City implanted twenty-leisure intervention programs for adolescents. The objective of this program called Youth 2000 (J2000) was to organize recreational activities with the philosophy that the activities are made by and for young people 13-17 years. This is how the project originated Youth Masson, in Rosemont, in the basement of the Center Masson.

Since December 2002, we are in a new location which allows us to offer a greater range of services. Therefore, we offer recreational activities for adults and day after school for youth. In addition, since December 2003, we are members of the Coalition of youth centers in Quebec.
