Strategies

The youth Mercier divides its programs into two categories: residential programs and programs outside schools

Programs in schools include all activities for teenagers held at the Den and Garage. For over a year, the immediate supervision of these programs is made by Maxim Matteau Fontaine, Assistant to the coordination of entertainment and intervention in schools. Question to avoid duplication in the ways of categorizing activities and compile the results, the Den-Young Mercier-Est adopted the distribution of activities proposed by the “Youth Programme” of the Borough Mercier – Hochelaga-Maisonneuve . This categorization has five strands of activity:

  • Recreation
  • Cultural activities
  • Physical activity
  • The scientific activities
  • The socio-educational activities

These components are not restrictive and can easily integrate our awareness programs, education, prevention and health promotion. The majority of activities related to these aspects of our work with young people find themselves in the activities compiled socio-educational and physical activities.
