History/Background Information
Friends of the music gave new life to the old monastery Mont St-Patrice (1884) now known as the Art Center of Richmond. They began their activities as music school (1982), added the presentation of live professional performances (1983), painting classes (1983), drama (1986), Art Gallery (1992), the competition Festi Rock (2002) and the Festival of Amateur Theatre (2005) and several other cultural activities.All these activities make the Art Center of Richmond enjoyed a cultural and renamed.

Objectives
The Friends of Music, a nonprofit organization, is to make the music and the arts accessible to the public. Its main activities are the presentation of a professional programming, music education, the competition of Rock Festi Richmond, the Festival of Amateur Theatre in Richmond, gallery art classes and exhibitions, all presented in a building dating back to 1884 . The objectives of the Festival is to allow amateur theater groups to express themselves in a professional, to contribute to the development and dissemination of amateur theater, amateur theater to celebrate and recognize excellence.
