Intersections Media Opportunities For Youth is a non-profit society which offers a variety of skills development programs for at-risk youth in the lower mainland who face multiple barriers to employment.

At risk youth who are faced with multiple barriers to employment and are interested in learning more about digital film-making. They get paid minimum wage during their training based on a 30 hour work week. 

Youth need to be:

• Between 18-25 and living in Vancouver
• Interested in learning film and video production skills
• Interested in jobs in the creative industries
• Face barriers to employment and / or education and are not on EI or currently involved in     EI based programs
• Want to work & can commit to a 4 day a week, 8 hour a day schedule for 5 months

• Intersections was established by the late William Vince, a renowned Vancouver film producer and philanthropist, who loved the movies, mentoring, creative talent, and red licorice. The Intersections program offers film production and visual arts training that inspires creativity, career development and healthy life choices for youth facing significant barriers in life.
  Intersection Media views film and video production as the perfect forum to reinforce the fundamentals of a healthy and productive work life for at-risk youth.
